A highly effective program designed to create meaningful partnerships
between school and home.
Family Involvement is not just good practice, it’s a necessary element of successful academic
achievement. Educators today are very aware of the importance of family involvement and its positive
effects on student success. Research shows that the most accurate predictor of a student’s achievement
in school is not income or social status, but the extent to which a student’s family is able to become
involved in their child’s education at school. Although a vital component for student success, the task of
effectively reaching every family can be a great challenge to schools and districts.
At Parent Educational Tools, we have created a program centered on the importance of schools and
families working together to share the power and responsibility of student achievement. Our Family
Involvement Program™ focuses on giving schools the strategies, skills and tools necessary to ensure
that ALL families are actively involved. It clearly outlines a process for schools that encourages families
to become equal partners in their child’s education.
The Family Involvement Program™ was developed by experts across the
country and based on the No Child Left Behind adopted Epstein Model for
School, Family and Community Partnerships. Our experts are familiar with
the challenges schools face in creating positive family involvement. This
complete program is designed to address these challenges along with
many common communication barriers that exist between school
and home.
With essential communication tools, exceptional face-to-face training for
school staff, and a professional learning community, the Family
Involvement Program™ establishes meaningful, two-way
communication between school and home that directly impacts
student achievement and successfully assists schools in
reaching ALL families.

Staff Development
The key to a successful and effective Family Involvement Program™ is high quality staff training!
A school may have all the necessary resources at their fingertips, but without proper training, school
staff is left to trial and error when it comes to initiating family engagement. In order for schools to
attain their academic goals, it is critical that all school staff members have a solid understanding
of the vital role that Family Involvement plays in reaching the objective of increased student
achievement.
Our face-to-face staff training will provide educators at your school with the quality training that is
essential for a thriving Family Involvement Program™ to exist. Administrators and teachers will be
shown how each component of the Family Involvement Program™ works and suggestions for
implementation in order for schools to maximize the many benefits the program has to offer.
In addition, our research-based training will address building relationships and trust between school
faculty and home. Teachers and administrators will gain insight that highlights the crucial need for
collaborative efforts between home and school.
Following our training, the challenges of reaching every parent will no longer be the
responsibility of a single individual within the school. It will become a shared effort of
administration, teachers, and families. Educators will also receive the specific tools
required to conduct the proper planning, assessment, and
evaluation of the school’s family engagement efforts.

Peer Learning Community
Research has shown that one of the most effective learning environments is peer learning. The
Family Involvement Program™ will provide educators with the opportunity to learn from the ideas,
suggestions and successes of other schools across the country. Through online message boards and
blogs, e-newsletters, and monthly announcements, teachers, administrators and support staff will have
the advantages of conversing and interacting with a variety of school leaders. Participants will share
creative ideas for different engagement methods covering a wide variety of topics ranging from
creating “welcoming” school environments to suggestions on how to implement programs that target
“hard to reach” families.
